Farmhouse detail: the mantle shelf

From before we had even officially moved in, I was insisting on adding a mantle to our master bedroom. After a couple of failed attempts to get a reclaimed one from Craigslist, Johnny surprised me right before the wedding by having his friend Joey custom-build and install this beautiful one, complete with shelving, vintage detailing, and pops of coral to go with our master loft color theme. We decorated it with white keepsakes and even brought home a Pegasus statuette from Greece to add to the collection.
